The Boathouse has been an island landmark since the 1950’s. The Boathouse’s menu includes Lake Erie perch, and walleye, & Southern style food with family friendly prices. Hooligans
Hooligan’s is a full service restaurant and bar featuring a pub-style menu. Home-made Irish favorites like Reuben sandwiches, Fish & Chips, Shepherd’s Pie, Guinness Wings, Irish Nachos, Irish Cheese sampler, Specialty burgers, Fresh Salads and Inventive Sandwiches are also offered. Put-in-bay Brewery & Distillery
The Put-in-Bay Brewery and Distillery is located in the heart of downtown Put-in-Bay. Sip on a fresh beer brewed right here on the island while enjoying one of their specialty hand-tossed pizzas. They pride themselves in being Put-in-Bay’s first legal distillery, so take home a unique bottle of Island Bourbon, Vodka or Rum
Round House Bar
The historic Round House Bar was established in 1873 and is Put-in-Bay’s oldest bar and entertainment venue featuring live music. You can’t miss our round red building, it is located in the center of downtown on Delaware Ave. We also have two outside patio bars to enjoy the sights and sounds of Put-in-Bay.

Butterfly House
Put-in-Bay’s Butterfly House at the Perry’s Cave Family Fun Center offers visitors a unique viewing experience of hundreds of different exotic butterflies in their beautiful atrium filled with plants, fountains and sculptures. The butterflies on display are not native to the United States and precautions are used so they cannot escape their home in the atrium.
Aquatic Visitor Center
The Aquatic Visitor Center, a historic former state fish hatchery, is operated by Ohio Sea Grant & Stone Laboratory in partnership with the Ohio Division of Wildlife. Activities include inspecting Lake Erie’s complex ecosystem through hands-on displays, observing and identifying live fish in aquaria, and discovering current research to protect Lake Erie.

Crystal Cave
Crystal Cave, the world’s largest recorded geode, is located on Catawba Avenue directly beneath Heineman Winery. A tour of the cave is included with a tour of the winery. The walls of Crystal Cave are covered in celestite crystals, used in the manufacturing of fireworks. The cave was discovered in 1897 by workers digging a well for the winery.
Dodge Woods Storywalk Trail
The 3.5913-acre property is located at the intersection of Langram and Thompson Roads on South Bass Island, Ottawa County, Ohio. It was purchased by the Put-in-Bay Township Park District with Clean Ohio Conservation Fund Grants with the match funds coming from the Lake Erie Islands Conservancy, the John Ladd family, and a bargain sale from owner John Dodge.

Gibraltar Island Tours
Gibraltar Island is a tiny 6.5 acre island in the middle of Put-in-Bay and is home to The Ohio State University’s Biological Field Station, F.T. Stone Laboratory. Visitors take a guided walking tour of the island including stops at Perry’s Lookout, the glacial grooves and historic Cooke Castle before learning more about the research being conducted at Stone Lab.
PiB Candy Bar
The Sweetest Bar on the island lives up to its name selling homemade fudge by the slice, hand-dipped chocolates, cookies and treats, old fashion candies, novelty candies, taffy and movie-size favorites among other treats. The PIB Candy Bar also serves a full compliment of scooped and soft-serve ice cream, including a selection of cones, sundaes and shakes. Ranked in the “Top 5 Confection Destinations” on Lake Erie, and the only confectionary ranked in Ohio.
